Heading into late summer, our next window display is aimed straight at our current weather – sunshine and showers – with perfect PANAMA HATS and beautiful boutique UMBRELLAS.

Own a Panama and you’re making a statement about yourself – it is the classic gentleman’s or lady’s sunhat. A Panama can come in any style, shape or colour but always starts its life being 1) handwoven, 2) of toquilla straw, 3) in Ecuador… and only if it’s all three of those is it a genuine Panama. Every hat is individually crafted and the fineness of the weave denotes the quality. We stock many types and believe we have one of the largest ranges of Panama hats in Europe.

From the restrained cool of our Panamas to the riot of colour that is our extensive array of ladies’ umbrellas. In a dazzling array of designs, our ‘Soake’ brollies come in petal, pagoda or more standard shapes, featuring stripes, rainbows, frills, flowers, lace, even famous paintings and quirky illustrations – the latest is a double-layered style with a lilac outer and the pattern inside, dubbed ‘Seaside Shenanigans’ (it’s so Dorset coast). And if you want protection from rain and sun, our polka-dot and fleur-de-lis ranges have an inner sunblock coating so they double as parasols.
