A Festival of Hats!

August’s window display for once features a selection of hats you WON’T find for sale in our little emporium… so, while you might sometimes see them in the shop, they’re actually part of The Guvnor’s own collection. Yes, a little bit of Mr Snook’s ‘mini museum’ is here shown as our ‘FESTIVAL OF HATS‘ display, in celebration of the upcoming BRIDPORT HAT FESTIVAL.

This unusual headwear hails from all over the world (and a bit closer to home, we’re looking at you Dorset Water Helmet), and in some instances boasts considerable vintage. Some of it has even been spotted at previous hat festivals!

If you want to join the extraordinary hat party, why not come up with your own amazing creation to wear at HatFest?

This year’s Bridport Hat Festival culminates on ‘Haturday’ 7th September. Until then, please enjoy Snooks’ own Festival of Hats!
