Trophy Time

We were recently delighted to receive a visit from our mayor, Cllr Ian Bark, who presented us with our trophy for ‘Best Christmas Shop Window‘ of 2022 in the competition organised by Bridport Christmas Cheer.

The main photo here shows the Mayor handing the cup to Sue Darling, with fellow Snookette Eleanor behind her (that makes 2/5 of the Snookettes), and bringing up the rear is The Guvnor himself, Roger Snook.

The cup had to disappear immediately, to be engraved with our name, after which it was brought back by Jill of the local Tourist Information Centre… and she happened to be wearing one of our fabulous older-season (sadly no longer available) caps-with-flaps, in pink!

The trophy now stands proudly in the window of No.30 (the ‘ladies side’) where it will stay, through all the monthly display changes, until we have to give it back for the next Christmas Cheer.
