To mark the upcoming Dorset Art Weeks, T Snook has created a new window display in the ‘ladies side’ celebrating ‘Hats in Art‘.

From 14-29 May, Dorset Art Weeks, now in its 30th year, will see more than 250 venues open across the county with around 50 artists showing in Bridport alone, all offering a huge variety of artworks – not all featuring hats, sadly, but perhaps more likely acquisitions than the masterpieces represented in our window.

It’s surprising how much famous art does include hats – our research racked up quite a list, and we squeezed in as many ‘nods’ to them as we could.

So how many paintings do you recognise and can you name the artists? (And what about the hats?) One of the Guvnor’s mythical gold stars to the winner!
