Welcome back to T Snook!
From Wednesday, 1st July 2020, Roger and Monica Snook and all the staff will be delighted to see you back in the shop again – we are ready to join the other retail shops in Bridport in helping to bring the bounce back into our high street!
But there are changes. In line with the UK Government’s Covid-19 pandemic guidance, we have made alterations to the way you shop with us. The health and safety of our customers and staff is our top priority, so please bear with us as we get used to the ‘new normal’; we will be regularly reviewing and improving our risk mitigation measures.
NEW OPENING HOURS
Monday: 10am-1pm, 2-4pm
Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday: 10am-1pm, 2-4pm
Thursday: Closed
Friday: 10am-1pm, 2-4pm
Saturday: 9.30am-2.30pm
Sunday: Closed
LIMITED ENTRY
As our shop is not very wide in places, we are limiting entry to one person at a time with a maximum of three customers in the shop. We ask you to shop alone unless you need assistance. Although we previously admitted customers’ well-behaved dogs, for now we will only admit guide dogs or medical assistance dogs.
Limited entry will enable you to shop safely as well as providing you with a more personal service. It may be necessary to wait outside the shop if there are three customers already inside.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
We ask that, wherever possible, you observe the 2-metre guide of social distancing within our premises. There are floor markings and relevant signage as reminders.
ONE-WAY SYSTEM
A one-way flow system is in place throughout the shop. Entry and exit will both be via No. 32 (the ‘old’ or ‘gents’ side). A member of staff will be on hand to guide you.
SANITISING STATION
Please use the hand gel placed at the entrance to the shop – it is both for your protection and ours. We are providing a hospital-grade gel, which contains moisturisers to avoid irritation to the skin.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Our staff will have visors, masks and gloves available to them. When measuring customers and fitting hats, PPE will be worn. If we assist you with measuring and you are not already wearing a face covering, please do not be offended if we hand you a mask and ask you to take it with you when exiting the shop.
HANDLING THE MERCHANDISE
We respectfully ask you, for safety and hygiene reasons, not to touch the stock unless you are interested in buying. A staff member will bring the items for you to view.
QUARANTINE, STORAGE AND CHANGING ROOM
Any item that is tried on and not bought will be put into ‘quarantine’ and stored separately for 72 hours away from the rest of our stock.
Similarly, we will do the same with any refunded or exchanged item.
Our changing room facility will be unavailable for the time being.
SNEEZE SCREENS
To protect our customers and staff, sneeze screens will be positioned at the till point and on counters where appropriate.
RESTRICTED ACCESS
For now, customers may not enter No. 30 (the ‘newer’ side of the shop, with the ladies’ fancy hats and fascinators in the rear room). Instead, staff will bring any styles you wish to view into our main shop, No. 32, which has been substantially rearranged and which will be the only part of the premises currently accessible to the public.
PAYMENTS
We ask that cash is avoided, for hygiene reasons, if at all possible. Instead, we encourage customers to use card payments – preferably contactless, which now has a limit of £45, or PIN card payments for higher amounts. For the time being we are setting aside our £10 card payment minimum.
Do come to see us soon!
