HatFest is Imminent!

This Saturday, 7th September… it’s HATURDAY!

Yes, the tenth (tenth!)  Bridport Hat Festival looms large, with an ever-packed programme of happenings lined up over the next few days.

Starting tonight (Tuesday) it’s the fiendish Hatty Quiz at the Ropemakers, followed by the notorious Hat Auction on Thursday evening (there’s still time to donate your good-but-surplus headwear to the Hat Amnesty, just drop it into Snooks before the day). There’s music back at the Ropies on Friday night, then the Big Day is on Saturday…

Don’t forget Our Sue is doing her entertaining and informative ‘Further Confessions…’ hat talk, 11am Haturday at the Bull Hotel Ballroom, tickets just £5 available from our good selves or the TIC (and on the door, though advance booking is recommended) – as are the HatFest programmes (pictured).

Also of particular note is the Most Elegant Ensemble Competition, 4pm Haturday at Millennium Green, for the best-dressed-and-hatted lady, gent and couple. Sponsored by a certain T Snook hatters & outfitters, the prizes are vouchers to the tune of £125 (individuals) and £250 (the pair) redeemable in our own little emporium.
